The featured reviews of Heart of Glass included in the publisher description set a high bar of expectation for this novel. This is my first review of a book by Jennifer Hillier, and I agree the novel is well written, though the story was a slow burn for me.

Readers who enjoy reality television series featuring “housewives” might also like Hillier’s storyline, which centers around the lives of fictional reality television stars and the secrets they carry. There are multiple subplots in this murder mystery that merge as the pace and intensity of the main plot moves toward the big reveal. The ending offers a few surprises, is well done, and quite satisfying.
